Current Projects

Below is information about some of the current projects happening in our community.

Current water system projects are:

  • Water Operators are collecting samples for our required annual, 3-year, and 9-year water testing program. One of the three-year tests is the Lead and Copper sample collection, which requires ten (10) different VEHOA residents to collect water samples in their homes after they have not used any water in their homes for several hours. We appreciate the individuals who go without water for several hours to help us complete our water system's Lead and Copper testing requirements.
  • The Water Committee is preparing to conduct the annual water valve inventory to assess the current condition of all individual property water valves.
  • The 2025 Water Quality Report (Consumer Confidence Report) is now published on this website. Consumer Confidence Reports from previous years are also available here.
  • The on-site inspection, interviews, and document review portions of VEPWS' 2025 Sanitary Survey have been completed by an ADEC-certified sanitary surveyor. The full report will be available soon.
  • We have completed the first level of the EPA/ADEC's Lead Service Line Inventory (LSLI) for our water system. The current inventory results for each individual home's water connection in VEPWS are available at the Lead-Safe Alaska Portal.
