Victoria Estates Water System

The primary purpose of the Victoria Estates Public Water System (VEPWS) is to provide safe, clean drinking water to all VEHOA properties within our residential-only subdivision. VEPWS' groundwater wells, water storage tanks, and water pumping equipment are located on Tract A, a three-point-seven-five (3.75) acre area designated as the "Well Protection Zone" for our three (3) groundwater wells.  The property is located at 6663 W. Kinsington Ave., Wasilla, AK 99623.

Our Class A public water system complies with the same water quality testing standards as all public water systems of similar size within the United States and the State of Alaska.

VEPWS’ Certified Water Operators conduct all water quality testing in compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) guidelines. Our water quality testing program results demonstrate that we produce some of the highest-quality water in the region.

Since 2016, VEPWS has received several awards for outstanding performance in operating a water system of its size. Some of those awards/recognitions are listed below.

  • The Alaska Rural Water Association (ARWA) awarded us the “Water Source Protection Award” in 2016 for our efforts to protect and preserve our water source.

  • The most outstanding “Community Water System of the Year” award in Alaska for 2023 was presented because of our public water system operations performance. AWWMA presented the 2023 award in recognition of the performance of a water system serving less than 2,500 individuals or producing an average of less than 250,000 gpd of water.

  • The “Ursa Major -- Water System Excellence Award” is the highest award presented to an Alaska Public Water System by the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC).  VEPWS has received the Ursa Major award for the past six (6) years (2019 through 2024).
