Water Ordinance

Federal and Alaska State laws and requirements exist in the United States for all public water systems, such as the Victoria Estates Public Water System (VEPWS). The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) is the principal federal law governing public drinking water systems. The SDWA authorizes the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to create and enforce regulations to ensure the delivery of safe drinking water to all residents.

The Victoria Estates Water Ordinance serves as our public water system’s guidance document, outlining the procedures for implementing all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
